How to enter the PALMY Awards
It’s time to start gathering your best print, digital and non-traditional revenue-driving ideas! The digital entry platform and rules are live. The site will accept entries through Friday, July 10, 2020. The contest period is for ads that ran between May 1, 2019 – April 30, 2020. Each entry is $7. You may enter ads created in-house or by corporate design centers that regularly create content for your newspaper. All ad directors should have received login info. Please contact Jen Madden if we need to resend your credentials.
All newspapers will receive 5 free entries!
Because SCPA knows it’s been a tough year on newspaper advertising staffs, we want everyone to be able to participate for a much-needed morale boost! To help, the SCPA Foundation is offering all SCPA member newspapers five free PALMY entries. That way, even if there are less funds in your budget to participate, your ad staff can still be recognized for their hard work and creativity.
A virtual ceremony presenting the 2020 winners will be held in September. Once the winners are announced for proofing (no later than August 19), we’ll announce more details about how we’ll celebrate your wins. Awards will be shipped or hand-delivered in September.
Order duplicate awards & plaque bases
Additional certificates are available for your staff and/or advertisers. The cost is $2 per certificate. We also have black wooden plaque bases available for $20 each plus shipping. When ordering a base, please be sure to specify award won (first place base differs in size from second/third place base). Contact us to place your order.
